Sourceforge Registration Description
After the descision too move the project from Berlios to Sourcefore I had to register my project again. This is what I submitted to get my project approved at sourceforge:
Java framework for the Renderman Interface (http://www.pixar.com/renderman/). Every RIB element is defined in it's own object. The first functional implementation of this framework is a Renderman Interface Bytestream file to a Renderman (c) XML format conversion tool.
An XML format of the Renderman interface has never been made before and could help intergrate the Renderman Interface in 'modern tools'.
Java is the language of choice because of it's mature xml capabilites and since 3d is being modeled/rendered on a very diverse range of os's it's prefered to have a cross platform tool.
This framework can also be used as a tool to study the different aspects of the Renderman interface.

Always liked them
Always kinda liked berlios as an alternative of sourceforge. But after three days of a disfunctional database, the one needed for the cms for my websites and no response at all on my support tickets and other emails (I'm not the only one) I'm forced to move to sourceforge.
Goodbye Berlios I'll miss you :-(
