To limit the initial scope, and thus speeding up development of this project I decided to concentrate on the Teapot example. The RIB elements to create the Teapot gives me a good subset of the Renderman © interface. Finished so far:

• Teapot.xml (The XML version of the RIB file)
  
• xrib_teapot.xsd (The XML schema including all the Teapot.xml elements)

The next step will be writing a proof of concept; A small java program which will create a teapot.xml via JAXB (based on the Create Marshal example of the J2EE tutorial). This to give me a solid understanding of the JAXB technology.
